Cygnet Hospital Maidstone’s Grand Opening Day

On Friday 14th September 2018 we held our grand opening day for Cygnet Hospital Maidstone. The event was attended by over 150 guests including service users, bed managers, commissioners and special guest, David Naghi, the Mayor of Maidstone.

Cygnet Hospital Sheffield Summer Fayre raises money for Place2Be

The young people on Cygnet Hospital Sheffield's Peak View ward recently hosted a summer fayre to raise money for the children's mental health charity, Place2Be. The event, which was held on 5th July, was originally proposed by the young people at a community meeting in May.

Cygnet Gift Card Competition

Congratulations to service users at Cygnets' Beckton, Ealing, Lewisham, Sheffield, Stevenage and Woking who were awarded prizes in a competition for service users who could come up with original and creative ideas for spending gift cards for the benefit of other service users at their hospital.

Cygnet Hospital Bury’s Alzheimer’s Awareness Day

On Thursday 14th June 2018 service users and staff at Cygnet Hospital Bury organised and co-produced an Alzheimer’s Awareness Day Cupcake fundraising event. The idea for the event came from one of the service users on Columbus Ward.

Cygnet Oaks competes in EASI World Cup

A team from Cygnet Oaks, our mental health recovery and rehabilitation service in Barnsley, recently took part in the two-day European Association for Sport and Social Integration (EASI) World Cup.

Community Care services hold their annual Project Outdoor Day

Our West Yorkshire based Community Care services recently held their annual Project Outdoor Day. The event was on Tuesday 5th June at the Bradley Wood Scout Campsite in Huddersfield. This year the team created a fun and inclusive activity day, to suit all. There was a rope climbing course, classic fairground games to engage, problem solving, sports games, themed nature trails and much more.
