In April 2018 we annnounced a new partnership with the University of Wolverhampton to create a new generation of highly skilled future nurses. Following the success of the our initial intake of 21 staff members on our Nursing Associate Apprenticeship we are delighted to announce that a further 24 staff have now joined the programme.
On Thursday 1st November 2018 Cygnet Ealing celebrated Cygnet’s 30th Anniversary with an all-day party for service users and staff. A wide range of activities included an art exhibition, musical workshop, photo booth, face painting, pet therapy and a performance on his fiddle by the hospital's Medical Director.
In October Cygnet Health Care turned 30 years old. Celebrations have been taking place across the group and on 7th November Cygnet Storthfield House, a high dependency rehabilitation service for men, held an 80's themed birthday party.

On Friday 12th October the team at Elston House, our ‘Outstanding’ CQC rated residential service for individuals with autism, held a party for residents and staff to celebrate Cygnet’s 30th birthday. After a consultation with staff and residents it was decided to celebrate by holding a pizza, pamper and (non-alcoholic) prosecco party.
The multi-disciplinary team (MDT) from Cygnet Hospital Sheffield’s Spencer Ward were delighted to be invited to do a presentation at a recent Yorkshire and Humber Involvement Network conference. The team were invited to do a presentation on MDT meeting standards.

The young people on Cygnet Hospital Sheffield’s Peak View Ward, a CAMHS acute service, recently held an auction of their artwork to raise money for Roundabout, a charity working with homeless children in Sheffield.

On Sunday 16th September Elston House celebrated its 9th Year of Opening Anniversary by inviting residents, family members and staff to the Animal Fair. Elston House is an 8 bed specialist residential service for adults with autism which was awarded an 'Outstanding' rating by the CQC in July 2018.
Congratulations to the Psychology team at Cygnet Hospital Bierley who have won an 'Excellence in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy' Award from the Association for Psychological Therapies for the second year running.
