Pines and Cherry Tree House Rewind to the 80s
Everyone enjoyed dancing and singing like nobody was watching and there was too much hairspray and backcombing to witness. There was a traditional buffet, which included vol-au-vents, cheese and pineapple on sticks, trifle and, the favourite, Swiss rolls!
The team hosted a ‘Guess the staff as babies’ competition, with 28 members of staff entering which was a great team building exercise and gave everyone a good laugh and a cry. Residents and staff voted Deputy Manager Luke Jegasothy as the cutest baby.
Our services also enjoyed an 80s themed quiz, which was won by Support Worker Barry Jackson. A fancy dress competition was hosted with Housekeeper Olivia Taylor winning best dressed as a Rubik’s Cube.
Later, everyone took part in a silent disco where Deputy Manager Christie Asplin wowed the crowd with the best dance moves.
Sharon Wilson, Administrator, said: “The interactions between the staff and residents dancing and singing was inspirational. It was a pleasure to witness everyone having fun and living their best lives.”
