Musical Therapy Sessions at Broughton Lodge
The people we support participated in engaging musical activities delivered by Musical Moments, a specialist social enterprise that provides therapeutic music sessions in care settings.
The session focused on the theme of “colours,” featuring well-known songs including “Somewhere Over the Rainbow,” “Yellow Submarine,” and “Paint it Black.” This carefully curated selection encouraged participation and reminiscence whilst exploring different musical styles and eras.
Residents actively engaged with the music using a variety of instruments including ribbons, tambourines, drums, shakers, and guitars. The interactive approach allowed everyone to participate at their own comfort level, whether through playing instruments, singing along, or simply enjoying the musical experience.
